I wrote a synthesis essay for my AP Lang class. I wrote this last week and I am just curious about what grade I may get. Could anyone please quick grade it? The rubric is attached below!

The prompt was  to write well-organized essay that develops a position on the claim that checking social networking profiles is an acceptable practice for potential employers or college admissions officers.
Here is my essay –

Social media has grown exponentially over the past few years due to the millions of individuals wanting an instant connection with their friends, family, and even the public. Colleges and many businesses can check many applicant’s social media in order to see if the admissions officers or the employers should select the applicant or not. Employers and many colleges should be permitted to check an applicant’s social media because it can help them find more information about the applicant to use for the selection process.

Business and admissions officers should be able to check the applicant’s social media because it can tell my employers if the applicant has a good character or a bad one. This is shown in source A, “admissions counselors who are checking social networking sites are mostly looking for content that people would find objectionable like racist comments, or would raise concerns about the student” as well as in source B, “One-fourth of the colleges surveyed indicated that they use Web search or social networking technology to locate information about prospective students”. No organization would want to hire someone who would hurt their reputation. For example, the college has a rule that bullying, racism, and other discrimination information will not be tolerated. They can check applicant’s social media in order to find if he/she posted or commented something that does not obey the rules. College admissions officers or employers can also see what the applicant’s achieved that he/she did not put it on the resume. The applicants might have posted a project they have been working on. Source A shows that admissions officers look for applicants’ expectations whether they are high or low. They want people with good character, behavior, and actions. It would reveal a person’s true character, so they would not regret selecting him/her. Even though the applicant may be good knowledge, he/she must know the importance of humbleness and good manner in order to succeed in the future.
Some people will disagree with it, if checking social media is an acceptable practice for employers or admissions officers, because it is a breach of privacy. In contrast, Business and admissions officers should be able to check the applicant’s social media because it is available to the public and anyone can see it. This is shown in source E, “It’s unreasonable to make personal information available to the whole world and not expect employers to look at it”. As stated in the source, people should be aware that their social media information is visible to everyone, including their employers and colleges. It is entirely the person’s fault if they post things online that make them look bad because they decided to do so. Why would someone say no should colleges or businesses using social media for deciding an applicant’s admission unless they have something bad in their social media. The colleges should have every right to check an applicant’s social media just as much the public can.

In conclusion, college admissions officers and many businesses employers should have the right to check an applicant’s social media in order to have the best personal information possible of an applicant through the selection processes.
