Draw the (2 1 2) plane in both BCC Fe and FCC Fe. Identify (with sketches) how many tetrahedral and octahedral sites are present on that plane in both these lattices for an interstitial atom like C to sit in.
i am not too sure how to identify the number of interstitial sites after drawing the (212) plane on it.
i dont know how to calculate using plane formula to see if interstitial site exist in plane or not.
