1. Most countries prevent the legal sale of organs. While Iranian citizens can sell their kidneys, there still exists a price ceiling of $4,600. Compare and contrast the impact of rent control and the organ price ceiling in Iran.
2. Search of the price of kidneys on the black market worldwide (This is to give you an idea of actual market clearing price.). Do you think Iranians should remove the kidney price ceiling (eliminating a supposed shortage and black market, allowing sellers to be paid more for their kidneys and hence, more people who need transplants, getting them) and should individuals be able to buy and sell their kidneys abroad? Or should Iranians only be able to sell their kidneys to only Iranians and Americans only sell kidneys to Americans? Why or why not?
